A second bathroom can add value to your home

A second bathroom is becoming more important in modern homes, and extending to create an extra one is a good option. Although the ground floor isn’t the obvious place for a bathroom, it can be a useful solution for large families, and under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) it is now law to have at least a downstairs toilet in a new-build house. If you’re building on top of an existing single-storey extension, walls below may need to be strengthened to take the weight.
