If you’re a connoisseur of wine – a cellar could be a great way to make more of an unused space

Basements are the obvious choice but wine cellars can be installed in garages and living spaces, too. Typically you’ll need plastic sheeting on walls, floor and ceiling to prevent loss of humidity, good insulation, an exterior grade door, a condenser unit to maintain humidity and a temperature control system. Expect to pay around £5,000 for a basic cellar. .
