This luxurious spa bathroom uses natural finishes and lighting to create a tranquil atmosphere
As the client was a tall man, Tim had to make sure the bath would be large enough for him to unwind in comfort. After researching various suppliers, he finally settled on the Bette Form bath from Max Pike Bathrooms, which measures a generous 1900x800mm. Fitted with a hydro-massage system of water jets, with an extra pulse effect at the touch of a button, it creates a boutique hotel look. Sleek Vola taps and a hand-held shower complete the look. Architect Time Bushe designed a luxurious spa bathroom for this apartment at Tower Bridge in London. It opens off the main bedroom where his sportsman client has a personal gym with weights, a treadmill and a rowing machine. Light passes freely between the two rooms through Perspex vertical blinds operated by a bespoke opening mechanism, with colour-changing LED lights that can be switched on from the bath. ‘I was aiming for a calm atmosphere by using natural finishes – plus adaptable lighting to create mood changes,’ he explains.
