Staffordshire technology experts are set to unveil a £250,000 refurbishment of their exclusive showrooms, giving householders the chance to experience luxury home living of the future.
AV Inspirations is holding a public open weekend on September 26 and 27 to launch the revamp of its £500,000 show home in Cannock, believed to be the most extensive show rooms for home audio and visual technology in Europe. The technical wizardry also offers massive savings in energy bills and reduction in carbon emissions.
Visitors can experience cutting edge remote control technology sampling the show home’s exclusive cinema room, hidden speakers fitted behind walls and mirrors and paintings that transform into TVs, all shown off using state of the art lighting.
The show home is thought to be the only facility in Europe where visitors can experience the latest in home entertainment across an entire house, including bedrooms, a kitchen, reception area, “fusion” lounge and bathrooms.
“We’ve completely refurbished all of the seven rooms in show home with new interior designs to showcase the very best in cutting edge audio visual technology,” said AV Inspirations managing director Jamie McKinley.
“The interiors look stunning. Using the most up-to-date technology in this refurbishment means visitors can experience the next generation of home entertainment and home living that has a whole new level of easy living and style.
“It’s an experience visitors simply won’t be able get any where else because there is no other facility like this in Europe.
“I think every visitor will be wowed with this look in to the future of home living and will want to have it in their home,” he said.
Visitors will experience watching TV or films in the exclusive comfort of the cinema room, where HDTV or Blu-ray DVD is projected on to a drop down, cinema-sized screen. Sound is provided by a system that would rival any night club’s.
The technology means rooms are uncluttered by wiring or electrical equipment. In the family room even the speakers are completely hidden, fitted behind the plaster board so the sound literally comes out of the walls.
Part of the bathroom mirror converts into a TV screen, allowing users to comb their hair while watching TV in the same mirror. An Art TV in the family room keeps the screen stylishly hidden behind a painting.
Bathroom lighting can be switched on by simply passing a hand over a section of the wall, with the lights operated by a switch hidden behind the wall.
“Our technology means that all electrical systems across the home can be integrated in to one to control everything from household appliances, heating, lighting, water flow to security – all operated by remote control,” said Mr McKinley.
“The technology offers savings of up to 40 per cent on energy consumption with better control. Movement sensors mean that lights only come on when there is somebody in a room and heating that turns off when the house is empty or is adjusted if a window is opened or when it’s a sunny day,” he said.
“This really is the future of how our homes will be managed in a more environmentally friendly way.”
Free tours of the show rooms are available throughout the public open days on Saturday and Sunday September 26 and 27 from 10am to 4pm at AV Inspirations, Unit 8-10 Shorade Industrial Estate, Watling Street, Bridgtown, Cannock, Staffordshire WS11 0DH. Had the opportunity to visit A V Inspirations showrooms at the weekend and one word sums it up WOW!! The interiors were inspiring and the technology amazing. My partner and I came away wanting to rewire our own house to incorporate all of the gadgets on offer! We found the staff very helpful and our tour both informative and breathtaking, and would certainly recommend anyone to visit if their looking for new ideas.
